Liquid Lunches

Lunch time or anytime you want a healthy boost.
Smoothies and fruit / veg. juices as you may have cottoned on are a fabulous source of getting the vits and mins you need.
So if you haven’t Invested in a juicer yet, run to the shops and do so. An investment in your health and cheaper than the juice bar in the long run.

Try these great juices:

Eye Spy

1) 4 Carrot (see in the dark), 3 apples (keeps the doctor away as the saying goes) small piece of root ginger to taste (keeps colds at bay) serves two nice glass fulls.

Immune Boost

2) Blue berries (super duper food), (punnet 100g) Strawberries (no cream!!!)(100g punnet) a teaspoon of runny honey and 1 table spoon of low fat yoghurt. shot of echinacea.

Energy Red

3) 1 small Beetroot (builds strength), 4 small carrots, handful of cucumber sticks (can help lower blood pressure).


Fell free to adjust amounts to suit tastes and try experimenting and creating your own juices. It’s all about trial and error as we at dietstoday.co.uk have found out, don’t try 5 kiwis and a punnet of strawberries, the result is massively acidic tasting and rather umcomfortable to drink!!!
